Calling all producers - on line suppliers guide
Upper Goulburn Online Suppliers Guide
Taste our passion and experience the magic by being involved in a new Upper Goulburn online supplier’s guide.
The Upper Goulburn Food Wine and Culture group (UGFWCG) is promoting our food and wine strengths across the Murrindindi and Mansfield shires by producing a “Suppliers Guide”
This guide is designed to highlight the range of quality local products available from the Upper Goulburn Region. This will enable local businesses, chefs and restaurants to contact growers, producers and manufacturers direct to access regional products, such as food and wine.
The aim of the guide is to encourage greater use of local products in Upper Goulburn restaurants and cafes and beyond. This will highlight to our visitors, our chefs and customers the value of the region as a producer of fine food and wine.
There is a growing demand for unique, quality regional cuisine and we hope that this guide can assist in meeting that demand by making regional hospitality and retail businesses aware of the range of upper goulburn produce available. We have secured funding through Regional Development Victoria and Murrindindi Shire Council to ensure this project is a success.
This secured funding will offset website updating, project co-ordination and printing costs of 500 postcards to be posted out to restaurants, chefs and cafes across the Upper Goulburn region, highlighting the online version and encouraging purchasing local. These postcards will also be used at the Worlds Longest Lunch 2010, Tour de flavor 2010 event in Mansfield and Taste of Melbourne. Local farmers Markets will be listed for free as many of our members and producers attend these regularly.
We are inviting suppliers of produce, wine and other products to be part of this new initiative.
Cost to be involved is $35 for UGFWCG, GSOGA and UGWA members and $70.00 for non members (will include a 12 month membership to the UGFWCG Group) the guide will be available as a downloadable PDF on the uge.asn.au and uppergoulburnwine.org.au websites.
